Welcome to the Martech.Network Author Community
These guidelines exist to maintain the quality, integrity, and technical depth that our readers expect. Please read them carefully before submitting your first post. By writing for Martech.Network you agree to uphold these standards.
Content Standards
Topic Scope All content must relate to martech, marketing technology, or technology in general. This includes but is not limited to platforms, integrations, data engineering, CRM development, automation, AI tooling, and industry perspectives. Off-topic submissions will be declined without review.
Minimum Length Posts must be a minimum of 500 words. There is no maximum — write as much as the topic demands. Quality and depth always take priority over length.
Technical Accuracy Write from real experience. Our audience are practitioners — they will know if something is theoretically written rather than hands-on. If you are covering an integration or a technical implementation, it must be something you have actually built or worked with.
Originality All posts must be original and exclusive to Martech.Network. If you have previously published content elsewhere, you must remove it from the original platform before submitting it here. We do not accept content that exists simultaneously on other publications.
Cross-posting After your post is published on Martech.Network you are welcome to write excerpts, summaries, or teasers on platforms like Medium, LinkedIn, or your personal blog — provided they clearly reference and link back to the original post on Martech.Network. Full republication elsewhere is not permitted.
Formatting Standards
Headings We recommend following standard web content formatting practices. A useful reference is the Nielsen Norman Group writing for the web guidelines. Use clear, descriptive headings to break up your content and guide the reader.
Code Examples All code must be displayed using the Elementor Code widget — never pasted as plain text. Code blocks must be properly formatted and syntax highlighted. This is mandatory, not optional. Unformatted code will be returned for revision before review begins.
Images and Screenshots Authors are responsible for providing their own images and screenshots. Use clear, high quality visuals that add genuine value to the content. Avoid decorative stock images that add no technical context. There are no strict format or size requirements but ensure images are legible and appropriately sized for web.
Links and Attribution You may include links to external references, documentation, and sources that support your content. Links to your own projects, tools, or services are permitted within the article body only as genuine references — not as promotional placements. Promotional content within articles is not permitted unless specifically requested and approved by Martech.Network editorial team.
Submission and Review Process
First Three Posts Your first three posts will go through full editorial review before publication. During this period your WordPress account will be set to Contributor — your posts will automatically enter a pending review queue and will not go live until approved.
Review Turnaround We aim to review all submissions within 48 hours. During periods of high demand this may extend to 72 hours. You will be notified by email of the outcome.
Revisions If your post requires revisions you will receive clear feedback outlining what needs to change. You have 72 hours to resubmit from the time feedback is sent. Posts not resubmitted within this window will be declined and you will need to resubmit as a new submission.
After Three Approved Posts Once three posts have been successfully reviewed and published, your account is upgraded to Author. From this point you can publish directly without editorial review. Martech.Network reserves the right to unpublish content at any time if it is found to violate these guidelines.
Premium Content
Authors may designate posts as premium content. Premium posts can be monetised in two ways:
- One-time access — readers pay a single fee to unlock and read the post
- Author subscription — readers pay a recurring fee to subscribe to all of your premium content
Pricing Prices are set by the author and subject to approval by Martech.Network. Pricing guidelines for premium posts will be published separately in a future update.
Revenue Share Authors retain up to 90% of all revenue generated from their premium content. Martech.Network retains a 10% fee to cover platform services and administration. This split is subject to change and authors will be notified of any changes in advance.
Community and Conduct
As a Martech.Network author you are also a member of our private Slack community. We expect all members to engage respectfully, share knowledge generously, and contribute positively to the community. Content that attacks individuals, companies, or competing platforms in bad faith will not be published.
